| Description: | Lubri-Power 402 is a highly effective lubricity additive for both S-15 ultra low and S-500 low sulfur diesel fuels. It not only provides lubricity to prevent wear in fuel injection pumps and injector nozzles, it helps formulate Premium Select Diesel Fuels and maintains exceptional cleanliness in the fuel injection system. Lubri-Power contains no dye, is ashless, and will not increase the sulfur content of the fuel. Lubri-Power also contains a highly effective corrosion inhibitor.
| | Performance Characteristics: | New diesel fuel regulations require S-15 and S-500 low sulfur and low aromatic fuels. The number indicates sulfur content in parts per million. The removal of sulfur from diesel fuel results in reduced lubricity and wear problems in the fuel system. The lower aromatic content can cause injector pump seal shrinkage and leakage.
Lubri-Power will prevent premature fuel injection pump wear and internal failures caused by de-sulfurized fuels. It will help rejuvenate and condition aged and shrunken seals. It will also protect metal surfaces against rust and corrosion. Listed below are conditions that can occur from the use of de-sulfurized diesel fuel. Lubri-Power will prevent these conditions from occurring.
An important component of Lubri-Power is a special emulsifier which disperses condensed moisture. Condensed water in fuels is a major cuase of rust, icing in cold weather and the growth of microorganisms in warm weather. New Lubricity SpecificationsThe American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) has added a lubricity standard to ASTM D975, the specification for high-speed diesel fuel. The test apparatus used to determine the new lubricity standard is the High Frequency Reciprocating Rig or HFRR. The maximum wear scar allowed is 520 microns. Lubri Power, when used as directed will provide a test “Pass” on even the most severe fuel. | | Uses: | Lubri-Power is recommended for both low and ultra low sulfur diesel fuels, but may be used in other distillate fuels for increased lubricity, reduced wear, detergency and rust/corrosion protection. It is also recommended for low-cloud (low wax) fuels which have poor lubricity due to lack of parraffinic molecules.
| | Applications: | Designed for the bulk treating of fuels, Lubri-Power 402 blends easily and is recommended as optimally effective at a treatment ratio of one gallon to 3,000 gallons of fuel for off-road S-500 low sulfur diesel fuels and one gallon to 750 gallons for the most severe S-15 ultra low sulfur diesel. One gallon may treat up to 1500 gallons of S-15 ULSD fuel depending on specific fuel response in the HFRR fuel lubricity test.
The sulfur content of this fuel additive does not exceed 15 ppm. This diesel fuel additive complies with the federal low sulfur content requirements for use in diesel motor vehicles.
