| Description: | 216-G Food Grade Gear Oil is a custom quality extreme pressure gear oil recommended for food machinery gear applications in the food processing, packaging and transportation industries. 216-G may be used where U.S.D.A. classifications H-1 (lubricants with incidental contact with food) are recommended. | | Composition: | 216-G Food Grade Gear Oil is fully formulated with the purest high viscosity index paraffinic food grade white oil and food grade extreme pressure agents, anti-wear agents, anti-oxidants, rust preventives, and demulsifiers, to provide functional performance far superior to typical white oils used in the food industry.
Composition Features Include:
Odorless and Tasteless: These assure the processor that the product will not be adulterated if contact with food should occur.
Oxidation Inhibiting: Long equipment life is assured without deposit formation.
Wear Protecting: All grades are formulated to contain extreme-pressure and anti-wear additives for long equipment life. High Viscosity: Increased film strength prevents metal-to-metal contact.
Rust Preventing: This product is formulated to ensure good water separating properties to prevent water build-up in wet environments. | | Performance Characteristics: | 216-G Food Grade Gear Oil is a mild duty gear oil recommended for use in food machinery gear applications where a “compounded” oil is required. It gives superior performance in rotary steamers, worm and spur gears, and valves up to 300° F. 216-G Food Grade Gear Oil complies with AGMA No. 7 Compounded specifications and provides excellent wear protection and freedom from scuffing in mild service, and rust protection in wet environments. | | Uses: | Use wherever U.S.D.A.
