621 Superior Spreader Surfactant

Surface tension reducer to make water wetter

Description: Superior Spreader Surfactant increases the effectiveness and efficiency as well as coverage of agricultural chemicals.  It is a high quality, multi-purpose agricultural spray adjuvant.
Composition: Superior Spreader Surfactant contains a non-ionic surfactant which is non-corrosive,  biodegradable, and which will aid the emulsification of petroleum with water.  Additionally, it is non-toxic when used at the specified treat rate.  The result is greater economy when using defoliants, weed killers, and insect sprays.  In many cases, one spraying may be just as effective as two sprayings that do not contain this wetting agent.
Performance Characteristics: Superior Spreader Surfactant greatly increases the effectiveness, efficiency and coverage of agricultural chemical herbicides, fungicides and insecticides, improving the wetting, spreading, and penetrating power of these materials.  Some of the advantages of this product are as follows:
  • Highly Concentrated
  • Economical
  • Better Penetration
  • Reduces Spreading Costs
  • Increased Chemical Effectiveness
  • Makes Water Wetter
  • Lowers Cost of Chemical Spraying

Uses: For Use With Defoliants:  One of the best uses for a surfactant is in defoliation.  Here is where 621 can save farmers thousands of dollars.  Many surfactants on the market today generally have a cost of 3 to 4 times that of 621, yet 621 offers outstanding value and performance.

For Use With Weed Killers: Superior Spreader Surfactant allows for greater penetration for greater effectiveness.  It can be used with pre-emergent weed killers.

For Use In Fertilizing and Irrigation:  Superior Spreader Surfactant can be used in fertilizing and irrigation to allow tremendous penetration of chemicals and water.  Suggested treatment may vary according to the types of soil used.

By installing an inexpensive electrical diaphragm injector to the water source,  you  are able to have a complete chemical dispersing system, capable of sowing all liquid chemicals economically when used with Superior Spreader Surfactant.

Your type of irrigation:  canal, ditch, flood, corrugated pipe or sprinkler, will of course determine the amount of Superior Spreader Surfactant used along with the type of soil.

Superior Spreader Surfactant will allow tremendous penetration of your chemicals and water when using these methods of irrigation.  This will create a great dollar savings as well.

When using a sprinkler system you have great advantages by incorporating surfactant.

Less water used
Less evaporation
Less run off
Less fuel used
Cover more area in the same time, (because of faster and more complete penetration)
Most important – better root penetration

Another advantage is the system allows you to use herbicide or liquid fertilizer as well as other liquid chemicals more economically by injecting them at your water sources, making your whole system mechanical and at the same time the superior penetration makes the chemical more effective.

Another challenge in agriculture is hard-pan.  This is very prevalent in row crops (also golf courses).  Hard-pan prevents penetration of fluids;  however, it can be overcome by the use of Superior Spreader Surfactant.

Many farmers using it in their irrigation also report that it acts as a very effective lubricant on all types of pumps used on spraying equipment and reduces wear to a minimum.
