Sulfurized Cutting Oil

Description:

Kool-Kut Sulfurized Cutting Oil is a transparent light yellow heavy-duty cutting oil recommended for tough machinery operations such as threading and tapping, broaching, and for alloys that machine with difficulty.

Composition:

A unique formulation of sulfurized mineral oil and a heat resistant petroleum base provides a cutting oil with superior lubricating and anti-weld properties.

Kool-Kut demonstrates superiority by utilizing very light-colored sulfurized additives with unsurpassed performance compared to dark-colored, sulfurized cutting oil. It does not stain the skin or clothing and gives the important advantage of high workpiece visibility. In addition, it has a very mild, unobjectionable odor.

Performance Characteristics:

Kool-Kut has a high degree of heat-resisting film strength with excellent cooling properties so that machine threading can be done on hard metals and special alloys with a minimum of burring or rough threads. Because of its utility with many different metals, and its effectiveness in a diversity of machining operations Kool-Kut eliminates the need to stock several cutting oils.

Kool-Kut is recommended for use in the most severe broaching, threading, tapping, and similar operations to provide increased tool life and better surface finish.

Kool-Kut is recommended for metalworking and thread cutting in machine shops, by plumbers, metal manufacturers and die-makers. It offers superior efficiency to standard commercial light and dark sulfurized cutting oils because the sulfur content is 100% active. It is also recommended where a variety of light duty work is done. In such instances, it may be cut back with straight mineral oil to meet the desired requirements.
